Sam is a local high school art teacher with 10+ years of glassblowing experience, and is passionate about sharing the art with the community.

Private Glassblowing Instruction
$175.00
One on one instruction with a two hour minimum, to work on a specific project or skill. Great for someone who wants to learn the skills from the maestro. Schedule bi-weekly classes or buy a 4 pack for a better rate!
~FAST CLASS~
$55 one person - $100 two person
The perfect intro to glassblowing, where you will have about fifteen to twenty minutes to step into the studio to experience and make a glass object ranging from pumpkins, ornaments, flowers, cups and small bowls. Great date night!

Two to Three Person Glassblowing Class
$150-$175
Two to three person class, with a one and a half hour minimum to create larger form + function items such as a glass, small vase or bowl for each participant.
Groups of Four or More
Please reach out via email for pricing and timing at westsideartstudioinfo@gmail.com. Great opportunity for group date nights, parties, and team building. We have a great backyard to host a small event and have a unique experience with friends, family or colleagues.
Pottery Classes -
Can’t handle the heat?! It’s okay summers are really hot in the glass studio and pottery is a great intro before diving into the heat of the glass. Our focus will be the potter’s wheel but we will cover other hand-building techniques in multi-week classes.
Rates start at $75 for a one-day class and $200 for multi-week sessions.
We offer fun, hands-on classes for individuals or small groups (1–3 people, we have 3 wheels!), including popular date night sessions!
One-day class (2 hours) – perfect for trying it out but don’t forget you might need to come back and glaze your pieces!
Multi-week courses – build your skills over time
Classes include clay, tools, kiln firing, and glazing
Easier scheduling and setup compared to glass. Message us directly to book a session that works with your schedule!

THE RULES
Adults must sign a waiver for themselves and minors. If a minor is coming with a different guardian, please have them print and sign the forms in advance.
Children are welcome to participate in glass starting at age 12 with a guardian present for ages 12-16. Younger artists are welcome to watch and help pick colors and maybe blow into the pipe. Pottery Workshops tailored to younger kids will be offered on a rolling basis.
Arrive 10 minutes early for your class. Classes maybe booked all day and can’t go past there scheduled times.
Glassblowing furnaces average temperature is around 2200 degrees F, yeah, that’s hot and you are standing right in front of it! Dress for the heat, cotton clothing recommended. Clothing must cover abdomen and thighs. We also require participants to wear closed toe shoes.
